On the country's "Most Dangerous Radio Station, 107.3 FM The Juice", Sony recording artist Ray Cash told listeners, "I got my shooter with me," challenging a then latent rivalry with an artist of a similar name.
What he failed to realize, however, was that the artist he directed the remark towards is highly respected in the streets and amongst his industry peers.
Today, "The Only Cash from Ohio," Havana Cash, states a few words that he hopes will bring a dead end to the "Ray Trash" beef, by raging lyrical warfare and ordering a career burial to silence him. "I already know this violence can get real," says rap artist Havana Cash when commenting on the infamous on-air radio remarks made about him in the interview with a DJ from The Juice.
"I'm not killing Wardell Raymond Cheeks the person, I'm killing off the rapper. I'm just making a statement with this mixtape, and Ray Trash knows that the whole state of Ohio, the entire U.S., and countries overseas are lovin' it ... I've got producers like BLAKLIONZ, Grip, Ben Franklin and Gutta Dave on my squad, " proclaims the independently signed Havana Cash. "It's nothing. He couldn't get his video voted onto the [ B.E.T. ] Countdown, even with Scarface on the track."
Havana Cash guessingly shrugs and says, "Look ... I'm a hustler who provides for his family. If someone needs me … I got 'em. I just wanna do me. I don't wanna come in the game off someone else's name. I'm the only "Cash" from Ohio. I got my stacks up and "The Stack Up Plan," the album, is next. I'm in his city all the time, he can come see about me." DJ P-Cutta, "Mr. Street Wars" himself, hosts the "Raymond's Funeral Service" mixtape, with the launch attended by ten thousand Havana Cash fans who have bought copies since its sixty-day release.
"Fans request my intros like songs, but I'm the underdog right now and I'd rather be that, because I am 'the Real Cash',"according to Havana.
A double mixtape from Havana Cash, titled "Best of Mr. Iceberg," will be released on October 10th, while the albums "Stack Up Plan, Vol. I" and "Raymond'$ Funeral Service Mixtape (Chopped & Buried Mix)" are in stores now.
